9mm - 50 rounds - $30 - cheaper than dirt
Hi all,
I just got the latest cheaper than dirt catalog. They are selling S&B and American Eagle 9mm for $30 per box of 50 rounds! I would make comments about price gouging and all that but nobody can keep it in stock so... I guess the market will decide the actual prices. |

A wise man, that is, one with some advance knowledge of unfolding events would have bought at a much lower price.

A year from now $30/box may seem like a bargain.

If they had the means to do so.
Many are just figuring this out as they go along. You can only do the best you can right??? T |

I don't know where Cheaper Than Dirt gets their dirt, but I suspect its full of S#%t, because their prices certainly are.

Re: 9mm - 50 rounds - $30 - cheaper than dirt
Yikes, that is hard to believe.
Usually when factory ammo prices get really high, people start to reload in greater numbers. (I always reload, even 9mm, but lots of people don't. Or didn't!) Of course we have shortages and high prices in reloading components as well. Assuming that primer prices and availability normalize at some point, we are going to see lots of new reloaders. And if component bullet prices remain high, we may actually see lots more people getting into casting their own bullets from lead. Myself included. I've been procrastinating about it for years but it looks better all the time! Gregg |

Blazer Brass is still on sale at Walmart for $8.97. The problem is the sale is only from 7-7:30pm on Wednesday.

Re: 9mm - 50 rounds - $30 - cheaper than dirt
For those who search the internet retailer sites, you will come to realize that currently there is almost no ammo available at any price. This tells me that manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers, simply got overwhelmed with demand so quickly, that they couldn't figure out what the equilibrium price points are.
Several weeks ago Cabelas started running DISCOUNTS on their ammo in my area, and then quickly ran out of stock. Talk about stupid! |

For those who don't mind steel cases, Sportsman's Guide has 1,000 rounds of Wolf 9mm for $185. Wolf .40 is also surprisingly cheap at $130 per 500.
